Camposol’s much anticipated International Fiesta 2017 is just around the corner, but if you’ve not managed to get your hands on a copy of the events programme yet, don’t worry — Camposol Online has you covered!
Here, we’ve listed everything you need to know about this year’s fiesta, from what’s on each day to the land train’s daytime and evening schedule.
Friday, 25th August 2017
Hosted by Costa Cálida Radio’s DJ Eddie B, Camposol’s International Fiesta opens with a speech by councillor Patricio Sánchez at 19:00, followed by a martial arts demonstration by Colina Roja at 19:15, and performances by pop singer Kellie Venelli at 20:00, Motown singer Charlie at 21:15 and Harlequin Rock Choir at 22:45.
Between 19:00 and 21:00, throughout the duration of the fiesta, there’s a Family Area manned by the Mazarrón Bahía Alpha Leos with activities such as colouring and board games for children under the age of 12, and a Teen Chill Out Area for teenagers aged between 13 and 18. There’s also a treasure hunt for ages 12 and over.
Food is available each evening, provided by Rudy’s, The Diner & Bar and The Vista Bar, and at 21:00, there’s a free one-hour sing-along land train ride around Camposol. Spaces are limited to 30 people per evening, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Saturday, 26th August 2017
Saturday’s daytime festivities take place between 10:00 and 14:00 on Sector A’s lower car park where there are stalls selling a variety of homemade goods, plus face painting, pony rides, fairground-style games and more!
On Sector A’s upper car park, there’s also a free laser tag tournament for teams of six, as well as individuals. Unfortunately, the deadline to register as a team has passed, however, you can still enter as an individual on the day of the event.
Hosted by Total Star Radio’s Brett Orchard, Saturday evening’s entertainment includes performances by conjurer EJ the Magician at 19:00, saxophonist Byron Greenaway at 20:00, pop and rock singer Scott James at 21:15 and reggae singer Christopher Leslie at 22:45 on Sector B’s lower car park.
Between 19:00 and 21:00, the Family Area and Teen Chill Out Area are open, and the hour-long sing-along land train ride departs at 21:00. Food is available throughout the evening.
Sunday 27th August 2017
Between 10:00 and 14:00, on Sector A’s lower car park, there’s a car show featuring classic cars, sports cars and motorbikes from across the region.
Meanwhile, on Sector A’s upper car park, there’s a children’s sports day for kids of all ages, and also a treasure hunt for children under the age of 12, followed by a tug of war competition at noon for teams of eight, as well as individuals. Again, the deadline to register as a team has passed, however, you can still enter as an individual on the day of the event.
Hosted by Total Star Radio’s Carl ‘The Big Welshman’ Thomas, Camposol’s International Fiesta winds down on Sunday evening with performances by blues singer Ikram Deliem and her guitarist Leo Swing at 19:00, rock and roll band Big J Juanma & His Band at 20:30, pop rock band The Streeters at 21:45 and a joint finale performance by both Big J Juanma & His Band and The Streeters at 23:00.
Between 19:00 and 21:00, the Family Area and Teen Chill Out Area are open once again, and the hour-long sing-along land train ride departs for the last time at 21:00. Food is available also.
There’s a grand prize draw at 21:15, and the closing ceremony begins at 23:45 to mark the end of the fiesta.
Land Train Schedule
Compusurf have generously sponsored the land train to run during the daytime festivities. It will cover all sectors, providing transport to and from the fiesta, and the fare will be a donation to the Mazarrón Bahía Alpha Leos to fund future community projects.

During the evenings, the land train costs 3€ per person, and children under 12 travel for free with a full paying passenger.

Grand Prize Draw
Tickets for the grand prize draw cost 3€ and are available from the fiesta’s market stall every Friday on Sector B between 10:30 and 12:30, or every Tuesday outside Rudy’s between 16:00 and 17:00 up until the day of the fiesta, where they can also be purchased.
1st prize is a 500€ holiday voucher, donated by Ibex Insurance, while 2nd prize is a 40” flatscreen TV, donated by Mercers. 3rd prize is an overnight stay for two at Hotel la Mariposa, which includes quad biking, a four-course meal and continental breakfast, donated by Hotel la Mariposa, and 4th prize is a 150€ electronics voucher, also donated by Mercers. 5th prize is a 50€ meal voucher, donated by Camposol Heating & Maintenance.

The Land Train will also be operational each evening from 6.00pm to 1.00am with the last run leaving Sector B entertainment site at Midnight. The evening train is being provided by the Fiesta Committee to take people to the evening venue. The evening train route is different to during the day and the fare is €3 per person (children aged 12 and under are free but must be accompanied by an adult).
