Monday, 28th August 2017

Today’s the final day of Fuente Álamo’s Fiesta. There’s bellringing at 9:00, then mass at 12:00, and again at 19:30, followed by a procession and fireworks from 20:00. Fuente Álamo’s National Folklore Festival begins at 22:30, and from 1:00, there’s a party celebrating the end of the fiesta.

Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted is showing for free in Spanish at Puerto de Mazarrón’s open-air cinema on Playa de la Isla at 22:00, and on the urbanisation itself, it’s Disco & Karaoke Night with DJ Eddie B at Oscar’s Bar and The Diner & Bar from 21:30.

Synopsis: Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent — Madagascar style.

Spain’s La Vuelta bike race cyclists are passing through the area today. Entrants are expected to enter Alhama de Murcia at 15:31, 16:12 and again at 17:40 as they head towards the finish line at the El Pozo factory.

Alhama de Murcia are also holding a one kilometre race for younger cyclists at 14:00 called La Vuelta Junior which also ends at El Pozo.

Rock ‘n’ roll duo Road Runner are playing at The Camposol Triangle this evening from 21:00, and there are activities for children on Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas, which is on the Paseo Marítimo in Puerto de Mazarrón at 21:30.

Wednesday, 30th August 2017

It’s Quiz Night at Cat’s Bar this evening from 21:00, while guitar duo Retro are playing at Oscar’s Bar and The Diner & Bar at 21:00, performing a medley of songs from the sixties to the present day.

Four-piece band The Geckos are entertaining diners at El Alamillo’s Party on the Plaza from 21:00, and in Puerto de Mazarrón, there are activities for children once again on Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas at 21:30.

Alcranes are performing for free at Alhama de Murcia’s Música en los Jardines at jardín San Cristóbal from 22:00, and Hollywood blockbuster The Dark Knight is showing in Spanish at the open-air cinema Playa de la Isla from 22:00.

Synopsis: When the menace known as the Joker emerges from his mysterious past, he wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, the Dark Knight must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice.

Camposol’s The Vista Bar are holding their weekly Quiz & Curry Night this evening from 18:00, and Pavarotti & Friends star Paul Michael takes centre stage at The Camposol Triangle from 21:00, performing songs from the seventies to the present day.

It’s Karaoke Night with Bernie Mac at Cat’s Bar from 21:00, and The Club House are holding their weekly Thursday Evening Jam Night at 21:30.

Children’s entertainer Mr E is hosting a disco for kids of all ages over at The Clover Bar on Condado de Alhama from 18:30, and there are activities for children on Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas in Puerto de Mazarrón at 21:30.

There’s a performance by Mara Bang Band on Paseo Agustín Herrerín by Playa de La Ermita in Puerto de Mazarrón at 23:00, and you can enjoy a panoramic view of the area while listening to band Fratellis at El Faro from 23:30.

There’s a paddle tennis tournament at The Ozone Terracita in Fuente Álamo at 21:00, and Spanish singer Diego is performing at Party on the Plaza in El Alamillo at the same time.

Reggae singer Kev Moore is playing at The Clover Bar on Condado de Alhama at 21:00, while on Camposol, saxophonist Byron G Man takes centre stage at The Camposol Triangle at 21:00.

The Geckos are playing at Noah’s ARC’s fundraiser on Friday

There’s a Disco with Big Don at the Black Bull from 18:30, and it’s Party Night on the Terrace with The Geckos in aid of animal rescue Noah’s ARC at Sector C’s The Club House at 19:30. Tickets, however, must be purchased in advance.

Meanwhile, in El Paretón, Bar Retro are holding a Quiz Night at 21:00.

Forget Me Not are holding a jumble sale this morning at Camposol’s Cultural Centre between 10:30 and 13:00.

Road Runner are rocking out once again this week, but this time at Party on the Plaza from 21:00, as are The Geckos at Cat’s Bar and Tel’s Bar with DJ Bernie Mac at 21:00.

Soul singer JJ Soulman is performing at The Club House from 21:00.

Sunday, 3rd September 2017

Test your general knowledge at Quiz Night this evening at either the Black Bull from 20:00, The Condado Club from 20:30 or Cat’s Bar from 21:00.

Mara Bang Band are playing at The Blues House On Sunday

There’s a car boot sale taking place at Mesón Mariano’s car park between 10:30 and 13:00, and Mara Bang Band are playing at The Blues House in Bolnuevo from 18:00.
